Nicole Thompson, Counselor at Powhatan, is collecting any gently used winter hats, scarves, gloves and jackets to donate to the WRAL winter coat drive in honor of our Student Ambassador's. Please have any donations to Nicole Thompson by Dec. 12. Donations can be dropped off in Mrs. N. Thompson's office, room 201. Food Drive

The Backpack Buddies Program at PES will be holding a food drive September 26, 27 & 28th. Please send your non-perishable items in and we will collect during morning carpool. This program is a success because of the generous donations from our local families. Please help us to fill many backpacks!!

Membership Form

The 2016-2017 PTA Membership Form is now available.  Click on the link to access it or download it from the PTA website.  You can get ahead with filling out your beginning of the year paperwork by taking care of this now. (Be sure to add your child's homeroom teacher's name to the form once you get that information.  You want to make sure your child's teacher gets credit for you joining!)

You may turn this form and your $6 dues in at Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 25 (floating schedule from 4:30-6:30 pm).  PTA representatives will be there to assist with any questions you may have.  Please note that you only have to join the PTA once each year for all of your children who attend Powhatan.  Multiple parents (and even grandparents) may join to help show your support for our PTA.
